Earthquake Injures 15 in Southwestern City

An earthquake shook Quetta, a southwestern Pakistani city, leaving 15 people with minor injuries, officials said.
The magnitude 4.7 temblor struck at 1:12 a.m. today and was centered in the province of Baluchistan, where Quetta is situated. Hospitals reported that at least 15 people were injured, including one man who broke his leg as he tried to rush from his home. Others were hit by glass from shattered windows.
A magnitude 7.5 earthquake in 1935 flattened Quetta, killing 50,000 people.
