New York Drops Carolina, 61-39

Aaron Garcia threw seven touchdown passes to help the New York Dragons defeat the Carolina Cobras, 61-39, on Saturday night in an Arena Football League game in front of 10,185 at Uniondale, N.Y.

Garcia was 15 for 20 for 246 yards for the Eastern Division-leading Dragons (8-5). Cosmo DeMatteo was New York’s top receiver, finishing with three catches for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Rickey Foggie was 26 for 47 for 259 yards and two touchdowns for the Cobras (4-9).

Las Vegas 63, Philadelphia 35 -- Clint Dolezel threw five touchdown passes -- four to Marcus Nash -- in the Gladiators’ victory over the Soul (5-8) in front of 15,141 at Philadelphia.

Dolezel was 18 for 32 for 215 yards. Nash had 13 receptions for 184 yards and added a two-yard touchdown run for the Gladiators (6-7).

Nick Browder and Todd Hammel shared quarterback duties for the Soul. Browder was nine for 10 for 120 yards and three touchdowns and Hammel was eight for 18 for 85 yards with four interceptions and one touchdown.

Chicago 63, Grand Rapids 35 -- Rob McMillen ran for four touchdowns to lead the Rush (9-4) past the Rampage (1-12) in front of 7,188 at Grand Rapids, Mich.

McMillen had nine carries for 35 yards and also caught a pass for 11 yards to help the Rush move into a first-place tie with Colorado in the Central Division.
