Guide to a rock of your own
If you’re scratching your head about your next pinnacle, this feature-rich site should keep you in handholds for a century or so. Sporting 100,000 indexed climbs around the world, this hub for climbing enthusiasts has a rock, wall or buttress with your name on it. Pick the climb you want and then start planning.
A nice feature here is the graphic performance program that measures your progress relative to other members as you post your climbs (“ticks”). Moving through various grades, you can also search for recommended sites in 25 rated skill categories, including free climbing, bouldering, ice and alpine-style climbs. The community part of the site is strong, with plenty of room to share your stories and photos with the group. Ongoing report postings and updates help make this site the place to be when you’re not on the rocks.
