Car Kills Cyclist, 15, in O.C. Crosswalk

A 15-year-old bicyclist died early Thursday after being struck by a car, police said.
Brea Police Sgt. Jack Conklin said Diana Barajas of Yorba Linda was riding her bike in a crosswalk on Rose Drive in Yorba Linda about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when Cassandra Rose Walsh, 19, of Moreno Valley hit her. Barajas suffered head injuries and later died at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
Police did not cite Walsh, but the investigation is continuing. Conklin said the investigation indicates that she was within the speed limit.
