Police Panel Demands Information on Shooting

From Times Wire Reports

The city’s Police Commission is demanding more information in the killing of a disabled man by police last week.

Capt. Dennis O’Leary said it was the commission that approved a policy in 1995 prohibiting disclosure of the names of officers involved in shootings.

“I will be very unhappy if next week I don’t get some real concrete reasons if the department decides not to make this information public,” Commissioner Peter Keane said.
