Once the winner of the Preakness is decided, be sure to stay tuned, because the suspense isn’t over. Can the “dignitaries” during the presentation of the trophy match or beat the current record of five times actually speaking the word “commonwealth,” set after the Kentucky Derby?
One can only imagine what the school kids in those places are taught. “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United Commonwealths of Kentucky and Maryland and a couple of other goofball entities located east of the Mississippi, and we further also pledge to whatever it is that we stand for ... “
If they don’t want to be states, maybe England will take them.
