Bonner, Germaine Help Rattlers Reach Playoffs

Sherdrick Bonner and Joe Germaine each threw three touchdown passes to help the Arizona Rattlers clinch a playoff berth with a 57-33 victory over the Detroit Fury on Saturday night at Auburn Hills, Mich.

Bonner completed 13 for 20 passes for 162 yards to lead the Rattlers (10-5) to their seventh consecutive victory. Germaine was eight for 12 for 112 yards.

Adam Kelly was 19 for 31 for 230 yards and four touchdowns for the Fury (4-9), which has lost six in a row.

New Orleans 44, Georgia 40 -- Aaron Bailey caught three touchdown passes to help the host VooDoo (10-4) clinch a playoff spot.

Bailey had nine catches for 124 yards and John Fitzgerald was 22 for 38 for 210 yards and three touchdowns.

The Force dropped to 5-9.

Carolina 46, Philadelphia 43 -- Rob Bironas kicked a 25-yard field goal with two seconds remaining to lift the Cobras (4-10) at Philadelphia.

Carolina tied the score, 43-43, on Rickey Foggie’s 19-yard touchdown pass to Todd Doxson with 29 seconds left, but Bironas missed the extra-point try.

Foggie was 28 for 41 for 296 yards and five touchdowns. Todd Hammel was 12 for 20 for 161 yards and four touchdowns for the Soul (6-8).
