* Francisco Canela and Jonathan Lopez, Los Angeles: Canela hit a two-run home run, and Lopez had a double, a home run and two runs batted in for the host Romans, who clinched the Northern League title with a 7-4 victory over Eagle Rock.
SOFTBALL
* Kelsey Ferguson, Santa Ana Foothill: Pitched a no-hitter with six strikeouts, and Paige Lowe was three for three with one RBI for the host Knights in a 3-0 Division I wild-card victory over Moreno Valley Valley View.
* Gracie Melendrez, Cerritos: Had three doubles, four runs batted in and three runs scored for the Dons in an 8-6 Division III wild-card victory over San Gabriel.
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
* Curtis Yoder, San Clemente: Had 11 kills, and Karl Metzger had 27 assists for the third-seeded Tritons in a 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 Division I second-round win over Lakewood.
