Good citizens of Kansas City, beware. Our own masters of the misdeed, L.A. King ownership group AEG, is coming your way with one hand holding blueprints for a new stadium plan while the other hand digs deep into your pockets.

It is all well and good that years after running the Kings, Tim Leiweke finally recognizes that now is a good time to be involved with the NHL. But hockey fans in Missouri and Kansas would be well advised to take whatever Mr. Leiweke says with a giant wad of salt.

As we have all learned, AEG tends to throw money around as if each bill weighs the equivalent of a Zamboni. Unfamiliar with the notion that it takes money to make money, it appears that we will soon welcome our fellow states to the east to the growing list of places squirming under the weight of AEG’s destitute thumb. Does anyone know if Donald Sterling has a twin?
