* Nicole Aaronson, Rancho Santa Margarita Tesoro: Pitched a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts, and Shantelle Cardella singled in Dani Manko with no outs in the top of the first for the host Titans, in a 1-0 upset of second-seeded Goleta Dos Pueblos in a Southern Section Division IV quarterfinal playoff game.

* Daniela Urincho and Gabby Finley, Norco: Urincho threw an eight-hitter with 10 strikeouts and singled in Brianna Goad to tie the score at 1-1 and Finley singled in Ursula Lopez in the bottom of the seventh in a 2-1 Division II quarterfinal victory over Fontana.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Alex Oberjuerge and Jaryl Barnum, Long Beach Poly: Clinched a victory, 78-75 on games, over host Pasadena Poly by coming back from a two-game deficit for a 6-4 victory in a Southern Section Division III semifinal.
