House Searched for Clues in Hoffa Case

Authorities removed parts of a floor from a Detroit home looking for blood evidence and “a conclusion to the mystery” surrounding the disappearance of Teamsters’ boss Jimmy Hoffa nearly 30 years ago.
Oakland County Prosecutor David Gorcyca said the search was prompted by an upcoming book in which late Philadelphia Teamsters official Francis Sheeran purportedly confessed to shooting Hoffa inside the then-vacant house in July 1975.
Sheeran, who died in December 2003, was known as a longtime Hoffa loyalist.
The FBI declined to comment on the investigation.
