Santa Ana Man, 22, Is Fatally Shot

A Santa Ana man was killed in an apparent gang-related shooting Friday night, police said Saturday. No arrests have been made.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., Santa Ana police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1800 block of South Garnsey Street. By the time they arrived, the victim had been transported by friends to a hospital, where he died of gunshot wounds, according to Police Sgt. Bill Barrett.
The victim was identified as Miguel Angel Velasquez, 22.
Details of the shooting remain vague and the Santa Ana police gang unit is continuing to investigate the shooting, Barrett said.
