Services Planned for Astronaut Cooper

Funeral services for Mercury 7 astronaut Leroy Gordon “Gordo” Cooper Jr., 77, who died Monday, will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 15520 Ventura Blvd., Encino. Services also are scheduled for 10 a.m. next Friday at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
