Here’s a Statement

I was at the Rose Bowl on Saturday and watched the Bruins’ offense hang 33 points on the scoreboard. The much-maligned defense held San Diego State to 10 points. The Bruins’ domination had Aztec fans fleeing for the parking lots early. Yet, on Sunday, Lonnie White began his moronic recap with, “If UCLA was looking to make a statement with an impressive performance ... it didn’t happen.” What game was he looking at? I wish The Times would provide its readers with an authentic writer who isn’t an ex-Trojan incapable of filing a factual report.
