JERUSALEM — An Israeli military court Wednesday sentenced a Palestinian man to 35 consecutive life terms for his role in suicide bombings, including the deadliest attack in four years of violence.
Ahmed Jayusi, 25, a member of the Islamic militant group Hamas, was convicted of being behind the 2002 bombing that killed 29 people at the Park Hotel in the central town of Netanya at the start of Passover.
He also participated in attacks that killed six other Israelis, the court found. Four other Palestinians have been convicted in the Passover bombing.
