Former rebels to rejoin government

Sudan’s former southern rebels said they would order ministers to rejoin a national coalition government.
The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, or SPLM, said it would end its boycott of the unity government today after leader Salva Kiir met President Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir and resolved grievances, including a timetable for the withdrawal of troops to either side of Sudan’s north-south division.
The SPLM had pulled its ministers out of the government in October, accusing Khartoum of stalling on a 2005 peace deal.
