A 35-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday during a fight outside a South Los Angeles liquor store, authorities said.
At about 11:30 a.m., officers responded to 911 calls to the store near Vermont Avenue and 64th Street, where they saw a man with a gunshot wound at the door of the shop, said LAPD Lt. Leonard Perez.
Investigators determined that there had been a fight between at least two people when the man was shot, Perez said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. A gun was found nearby, Perez said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing.
