Celebrities you didn’t know were from Canada

From Calabasas, Calif., to Canada? Thanks to his recent arrest, pop singer Justin Bieber’s status as a citizen of Canada has become more widely known. And the possibility of his deportation has been batted about in the media.
Could the Calabasas homeowner be booted back to the Great White North? If he were to be convicted on a drug offense, he’d better get himself a good immigration attorney, those in the know told the L.A. Times’ Matt Pearce. He could also be deported on the grounds of “moral turpitude,” or conduct that doesn’t measure up to community standards.
Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday on suspicion of DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving without a valid license.
Any way you cut it, an arrest adds a new layer of hassle for entertainers who want to travel: It’s a red flag for authorities.
As Bieber makes headlines with his legal woes, it’s interesting to note there is a whole host of celebrities we’ve imported from Canada. Flip through our gallery above and see if you come across any surprises.
