Trish Burnett is new school board president

BURBANK -- Trish Burnett was named the new president as the Burbank

Board of Education announced its officers for the 2000-2001 school year.

Burnett, who has served on the board for three years, was pegged to

take over for Connie Lackey at the May 18 board meeting. Elena Hubbell,

who has been on the board since 1991, was appointed vice president and

Richard Raad, who joined the board in 1999, will be the clerk.

Lackey, on the board for four years, and Mike McDonald, a member sine

1995, will serve as members.
