Boys’ basketball: La Salle is site for top one-day showdown

Pasadena La Salle will host an MLK Day Showdown on Monday, and the final three games are as good as they come.
They include Cantwell-Sacred Heart vs. Sierra Canyon at 5:30 p.m.; Bishop Montgomery vs. Riverside North at 7 p.m., and Chino Hills vs. El Camino Real at 8:30 p.m. All six teams are ranked in The Times’ top 25.
The complete schedule: La Salle vs. Bell-Jeff, 10 a.m.; St. Francis vs. Campbell Hall, 11:30 a.m.; West Ranch vs. Taft, 1 p.m.; Cathedral vs. Highland, 2:30 p.m.; Hart vs. Oaks Christian, 4 p.m.
Price also is hosting a set of games on Monday, Jan. 20.
The schedule: University vs. Fremont, 10 a.m.; Leuzinger vs. Palm Springs, 11:30 a.m.; El Modena vs. Santa Maria St. Joseph, 1 p.m.; Windward vs. Bullard, 2:30 p.m.; Pacific Hills vs. Westminster, 4 p.m.; Crenshaw vs. Foothill Christian, 5:30 p.m.; Dorsey vs. Brentwood, 7 p.m.; Price vs. View Park, 8:30 p.m.
