Baseball: Jeff Suppan announces his retirement

Former Encino Crespi pitcher Jeff Suppan has officially retired after 17 major-league seasons. He made the announcement to Jon Heyman of the MLB Network. Here’s the story from MLB.com.
He was the 2006 National League Championship Series MVP for the St. Louis Cardinals and made 417 starts in his career.
He was a second-round draft pick of the Boston Red Sox in 1993.
