Boys’ basketball: Chino Hills gets past El Camino Real, 63-56

In the final game of the one-day La Salle tournament, sophomore Lonzo Ball had 16 points and six assists to help Chino Hills hold off El Camino Real, 63-56.
El Camino Real suffered two key injuries that could cause problems for the Conquistadores, who are scheduled to play four games in six days this week. Julian Richardson had to leave the game in the first half with a possible concussion and Evan Wardlow was limping off at the end with a sore back.
Sophomore Brandon Russell helped the Conquistadores by making three threes and finished with 16 points.
Mark Williams aided Ball with 10 points and 15 rebounds. Nnamdi Okongwu had 13 points. Bishop Mency made four free throws in the fourth quarter.
