Boys’ basketball: Erick Esparza gets six threes in Verdugo Hills win

Erick Esparza made six three-pointers and finished with 18 points to lift Verdugo Hills (14-5) past L.A. University, 59-57, on Thursday night.
C.J. Sinada had 14 points for University, which missed a three-point attempt at the buzzer.
