Boys’ basketball: Nike Extravaganza is set for Friday and Saturday

The Nike Extravaganza will take place Friday and Saturday at Santa Ana Mater Dei. Saturday’s full day and night of activities usually produces lots of top individual performances.
On Friday, Mater Dei is playing Village Christian at 7:30 p.m. and the Monarchs’ girls’ team is playing St. Bernard at 9 p.m.
Saturday’s morning session schedule: Colony vs. Los Alamitos, 8:30 a.m.; Gardena Serra vs. Upland, 10 a.m.; Alemany vs. Fairfax, 11:30 a.m.
Saturday’s evening schedule: Redondo vs. Corona Centennial, 1:15 p.m.; Foothill vs. Orange Lutheran, 2:45 p.m.; JSerra vs. Bishop Gorman, 4:15 p.m.; St. John Bosco vs. Etiwanda, 5:45 p.m.; Westchester vs. DeMatha, 7:15 p.m.; Mater Dei vs. Whitney Young, 8:45 p.m.
Tickets are $12 general admission for Friday and Saturday’s morning session. Saturday’s evening session is $12 for general admission and $22 for reserved seating.
