Boys’ basketball: St. John Bosco wins in Massachusetts

Vance Jackson scored 26 points and Daniel Hamilton had 25 points to help St. John Bosco defeat Maryland St. Frances, 63-60, in Springfield, Mass.
The Braves (12-6) won without Tyler Dorsey, who stayed home in a parental decision to work on academics.
In the battle of Sherman Oaks, Buckley improved to 23-0 with a 66-50 win over Notre Dame. Andrew Schianterelli had 15 points, Austin Butler 14 and Astin Beal 10.
At La Salle, Aaron Holiday scored 33 points as Campbell Hall defeated Price, 71-65. Highland defeated Maranatha, 70-59. Devin Burleson had 23 points. Dominic Gully added 18 points. Highland plays Cathedral on Monday. Valencia defeated Pacific Hills, 67-60. Beverly Hills defeated San Marino, 67-34. Siavash Yektafar had 24 points. Salesian defeated Dorsey, 65-61.
Charter Oak defeated Flintridge Prep, 44-40. Flintridge Prep was without Robert Cartwright, who injured his foot on Friday. Kyle Hamane had 17 points for Flintridge.
Mission Viejo defeated Damien, 61-60.
Gardena Serra handed Cantwell-Sacred Heart its second straight defeat with a 55-52 win. Tavrion Dawson scored 20 points.
Etiwanda defeated Riverside King, 66-36. Jordan McLaughlin had 17 points and Kenny Barnes 11.
Orange Lutheran defeated Temecula Valley, 59-56. Rogers Printup scored 20 points. Justin Simon had 17 for Temecula Valley.
