Boys’ basketball: Victor Joseph scores 30 points for Rancho Cucamonga

Tuning up for a Baseline League showdown on Friday against Etiwanda, Rancho Cucamonga received 30 points from Victor Joseph to knock off Los Osos, 77-72.
Rancho Cucamonga is 16-2 overall and 2-0 in league. Etiwanda received 12 points from Elijah Johnson and 11 from Jordan McLaughlin in a 70-38 win over Alta Loma.
In the Foothill League, Lewis Stallworth scored 23 points to help Hart (13-1) rally for a 73-68 opening win over West Ranch. Jaleel Howard scored 20 points in Valencia’s 88-65 win over Saugus. Canyon Country Canyon (17-1) defeated Golden Valley, 68-33. Ben Taufahema made five three-pointers and finished with 19 points.
No. 2-ranked Redondo (13-3) won its Bay League opener with a 62-54 win over Peninsula. Leland Green scored 25 points.
Village Christian won its Olympic League game over Valley Christian, 75-50.
