Football: Shay Fields is down to Colorado, Boise State, California

With football signing day on Feb. 5, the scramble is on for players to finalize their choices.
Standout receiver Shay Fields of St. John Bosco sent out a tweet that he’s down to Colorado, California and Boise State.
That might come as a surprise to some, since he has been committed to USC since the end of October, but he told Scout.com that he has had little contact since Steve Sarkisian was hired as USC’s coach. That’s not a good sign.
Three of Southern California’s top prospects _ John Smith of Long Beach Poly, Adoree’ Jackson of Gardena Serra and Damien Mama of St. John Bosco _ remain undecided. Jackson and Mama have scheduled announcements on signing day.
USC and UCLA are recruiting all three.
