Girls’ basketball: Jordin Canada’s 25 points sparks Windward

One day before she is expected to be named to the McDonald’s All American Game, UCLA-bound Jordin Canada of L.A. Windward put on a show on Tuesday during an Alpha League game for first place against Sierra Canyon.
She scored 25 points to help the Wildcats (19-2, 4-0) knock off Sierra Canyon, 61-46. Sierra Canyon dropped to 19-2 and 4-1. Cheyanne Wallace had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Sierra Canyon.
Kristen Simon added 13 points and 17 rebounds for Windward, which has defeated Albany St. Mary’s, Long Beach Poly and Sierra Canyon in a week’s time, three of the top teams in the state.
