Ducks’ Jonas Hiller sick, will not play against Canucks

Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller is too sick to start Wednesday night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks, putting his 14-game winning streak on hold before his team ventures to tough road games at Chicago and St. Louis.
Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau said Hiller was “flu-ish” earlier Wednesday as the goalie missed the morning skate at Honda Center.
Rookie Frederik Andersen, summoned back from minor league Norfolk after playing two weekend games following his Thursday win with the Ducks at Nashville, started Wednesday.
Hiller is three wins behind the longest winning streak in NHL history, accomplished by Gilles Gilbert of the Boston Bruins in 1975-76.
The Ducks (35-8-5) play at defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago (30-8-11) on Friday, then have a Saturday road game at St. Louis (32-8-5).
